One of the best discoveries of my life was when I found the Emotional Guidance Scale by Abraham- Hicks.
I found this idea in the book Super Attractor by Gabrielle Bernstein. The goal of this scale is to identify where your emotion falls and then you can proactively reach for better feeling thoughts that lead to better feeling emotions. Once you get settled in a new emotion, you’ve moved up the scale! This means you’ve successfully, and intentionally, raised your vibration.
In other words, you’ve manipulated your energy to work in your favor. This information was GOLD to me.
Point Of Attraction
The emotions we feel become the energy we emit. The Law of Attraction states that like attracts like, so this means that whatever energy we let off we also get back., So knowing how to move up from a negative emotion to a positive one is one of the most valuable pieces of information to have!
Abraham-Hicks calls this our point of attraction. When we’re low on the emotional scale, we’re emitting negative energy which means that we’re attracting people, situations, and experiences into our life that match that negative vibration. No b'euno’.
FOR ME: To know the vibration of your emotions is like finding $100 on the sidewalk. Knowledge= Power. To know that you are in control of how you feel is priceless.
What does having negative energy really mean? Like, how do we measure what makes something or someone negative versus a positive experience or person?
By what the way they make us feel. They either help us feel happy or they make us feel like crap. They either want the best for us or they want the worst for us.
This is one of my favorite tools because it takes the pressure off to shift into a better mood so quickly. We now have a visual scale to accurately measure our energy and to make our point of attraction exactly where we want it.
The Emotional Guidance Scale
1. Joy appreciation
2. Passion
3, Enthusiasm
4. Positive Expectation
5. Optimism
6. Hopefulness
7, Contentment
8. Boredom
9. Pessimism
10. Frustration/ Irritation/ Impatience
11. Overwhelmed
12. Disappointment
13. Doubt
14. Worry
15. Blame
16. Discouragement
17. Anger
18. Revenge
19. Hatred
20. Jealousy
21, Insecurity
22. Fear/ Grief/ Desperation
So, the next time you notice yourself in a bad mood or attitude, see where that emotion/ feeling lands on the scale and pull yourself back up by thinking more positive thoughts. I know that’s easier to say than to do but try to shift your perspective from a place of “woah is me” to “ I’m a badass who knows how to manipulate her point of attraction” BOOM!
